A collection of love stories
Welcome to my blog! Well…. I really like to think of it as a collection of short stories. The sweetest moments from those stories. The highlights.
Here I share small peeks into one chapter of the books I’ve been privileged to witness, capture and share with the world. I also have volumes of planning advice, a rolodex of fellow wedding vendors I love to work with and the occasional journal entry from my own personal diary, just so you can get a little insight into who I am as a human, a mom and a photographer. I hope you stay a while, find a story you can connect with, a character who makes you giggle and a happy ending that makes you shed a tear.

Amanda + Mike / Wedding at Crockett’s Run / Hocking Hills Ohio
Amanda and Mike had a beautiful fall wedding at Crockett's Run, a rustic venue in Hocking Hills, Ohio. Despite the rain, they had a wonderful day surrounded by their families and friends who helped them get ready and celebrate their love.
The ceremony was held under a tent in the cool, misty air. Amanda and Mike exchanged vows that they wrote themselves, expressing their deep feelings and commitment to each other. Mike was emotional and teary-eyed as he listened to Amanda's words and said his own. The guests were touched by their heartfelt ceremony and cheered as they kissed and became husband and wife.
After the ceremony, the couple and their families posed for some photos under the tent and then ventured out to the natural, rocky landscape of the location. The rain did not stop them from having fun and capturing some stunning shots of their wedding attire and accessories. Amanda's dress was a gorgeous lace gown with a long train and a veil, while Mike wore a navy suit with a paisley tie and pocket square and a boutonniere.
One of the highlights of Crockett's Run is the waterfall, but unfortunately, they were not able to access it because of the rain and mud. However, they still found some beautiful spots to take photos, such the stone wall, and the green fields.
Once the photos were finished, the couple entered their reception to dine and party with their friends and family. The reception was held in a spacious lodge. The couple had their first dance to a song that they chose together, followed by the mother-daughter and mother-son dances. Then, the dance floor was opened to everyone and the DJ played some upbeat tunes that got everyone moving and grooving.
Just before the end of the night, the guests were ushered outside for the sparkler exit while Amanda and Mike had one last private dance, one of the more recent wedding trends from 2023, which I love. They lined up on both sides of the path and lit up their sparklers, creating a tunnel of light for the couple to run through. Amanda and Mike held hands and smiled as they ran through the sparklers in the rain, while their guests cheered and clapped. They then headed off to their private cabin to rest, recuperate, and reconnect after a busy day. They were excited to start their new chapter as husband and wife and to embark on their honeymoon adventure.
